The London Borough of Bromley is to the south east of London and forms part of Outer London. The borough, with the Prime Meridian passing through it, promotes itself as a clean and green. Bromley is the principal town.
Bromley is host to the annual Biggin Hill Air Fair in June, held at Biggin Hill Airport, an important airport during the Battle of Britain. Crystal Palace Park, with London’s largest maze, and Crystal Palace Bowl are both situated in Bromley. Crystal Palace Bowl is the venue for various summer concerts, most notably for the Best of Last Night of the Proms and the Bank Holiday fireworks spectacular that takes place in August. Chislehurst Caves, Crofton Roman Villa, Down House (the home of Charles Darwin), and Holwood House (the home of William Pitt the Younger) are some of the other interesting attractions.
